“The Dangerous Years” is a representation of a time full of uncertainty, chaos, and doubt. Rangga Purbaya took the title of Soekarno’s speech during Indonesia’s 19th Independence Day Celebration in 1964, Tahun Vivere Pericoloso (TAVIP), to open up statistics, numbers but at the same time speculate with a method he has used in his work in recent years. Rangga uses AI technology as an ethical approach to generate a factual historical narrative that is still shrouded in fog today, Tragedy 65.
