In my expression, I face many limitations, especially material and time limitations. Dividing the process of artistic work and domestic work, for example. The process that has occurred so far has been an inspiration that I continue to contemplate. 

I am currently exploring alternative processes in photography. Revisiting the basic analog printing of photography with the most ancient method, the photogram. A darkroom technique that records the shadows of objects through mechanical – chemical stages. 

Since the art project RAW POWER (2019). I developed this technique with the freedom of my imagination. The objects that I compose form the shape of a face / portrait.

For me, portraiture is an art tradition that is continuously repeated and developed both in terms of technique and discourse. The faces are present from and in everyday life. Looking back at myself as a person who is present in the imagination and reality of life that are intertwined.

‘Burning’ using expired paper that is sensitive to light was also a constraint/limitation that I had to exploit the character of. I moved from the darkroom and started processing outdoors using the lumenprint technique, using direct sunlight. Negotiating with the exposure time and all the details felt just like I had to negotiate with reality. The result is unpredictable. There are impressions in the process and results, there is a way of painting, there is a process of setting up objects and of course there is photography there.
