I have always been interested in photographing the things I see at urban farmer’s gardens. Usually what I photograph is the landscape of the group farm, the plants, and the activities done by the residents there. I collect the photos and upload them (social media and website) by narrating the events that I saw at the location. That is one of the ways Panen apa hari ini (Pari) publicises the activities of Poktan Yogyakarta since 2020 until now.
On several occasions I have tried to explore documentation using Cyanotype, photogram, and lumen printing techniques. This is similar to what Anna Atkins (a British biotanist) did. 181 years ago, Anna recorded organisms living in the water (especially seaweed) using the Cynotype technique. This technique also allows the involvement of the surrounding community as a form of participatory citizen education.
