Our understanding or image of the past might always stands in a romantic and nostalgic way. The idea of this work is crashing the perception of time, between Jogja city nowadays and beyond. We construct the image of the city to be “beyond today” and try to create an imaginary reality through the mixing of Jogja in the past and other time. Old photographs of Jogja were collected, and through the digital imaging process added with some icons which represent “the present” or modernity.
This project was presented as postcards, which we consider as one of the most affordable, and flexible medium of photography presentation.
